Smith has a lovely style of writing, and this is another sweet, solid YA romance from her.
Teen movie star and heart throb Graham accidentally sends an email to Ellie O'Neill, a regular old teenager in Maine, which spurs a chain of emails across three months. Graham convinces the director of a movie he's working in to check our Ellie's town in Maine, and ends up with a few weeks in Ellie's town without telling her.
I had a smile on my face almost the entire time I was reading this book--it was gorgeous and made me happy. Ellie and her best friend, Quinn, had some problems to work through that added to this book, as did Ellie's relationship with each of her parents. I loved the dynamic that pop culture mixed with small town life played and even the smaller shopkeepers were fun to read about.
Again, this book was pretty easy to predict, but the strength and courage that characters showed and Ellie's easy relationship with Graham made this definitely worth reading.
